Chad Cates has joined Sycamore Insurance Associates LLC as a vice president and producer specializing in Commercial Property & Casualty accounts, primarily in the healthcare, social service, manufacturing and agricultural industries.
Cates has worked in the insurance industry for 10 years, with all of his experience having been with a large local agency. He works directly with customers to develop appropriate risk management strategies that are tailored to their specific needs. He has assisted employers in setting up partially and fully self-insured workers’ compensation programs and takes a proactive approach when working with his customers.
He holds licenses in Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance in Indiana and Illinois.

Cates is from Terre Haute and is a member of Terre Haute First Baptist Church and the Downtown Rotary Club. He is an original member of the Terre Haute Young Leaders and has worked as a United Way Campaign volunteer. He graduated from Indiana State University with majors in Insurance & Risk Management and Business Administration.
Sycamore Insurance Associates is an independent agency offering a full line of insurance products, including commercial and personal lines. It was founded by Donald T. "Scotty" Scott, a fourth-generation insurance provider, in 2010. The agency offers group benefit and wellness services to both large and small employers.
